Put up Tenitemsplustoast in the 4.00 Towcester the last day and would have put him up again but Hugh has ruined the price.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Valbcheck gets on in the next at Lingfield, he looks useful on breeding, and Murtagh's come over for the ride. Anything less than an easy bridle victory, will be a dissapointment:biggrin:

My thought was that this horse needs to go in the notebook and be followed wherever it runs, he was clearly not coming over for the race so it must have been the horse and to bring your main man over to ride at Lingfield means you think you have a serious animal. That he won as he liked told you nothing of his ability in that race but i would back him in any race he should be entered next.

As an aside the only other reason i could see for Johnny coming over was that he was riding work for a weekend mount for Jeremy Noseda or his lincoln mount and took the ride as it was going.

Did he win that easily? Was running very green and the Gubby horse still had a two length lead when he swerved and unseated at the furlong marker. Valbchek was obviously expected to win though and no surprise if he doesnt go on to better things.

Would be interested to hear views on the 2.45 Lingfield today as I think there was a future handicap winner out of the placings today!

Stick Murtagh had not moved a muscle must have been confident of getting past that leader.

In regards to the 2.45 the horse I would have been interested in today if i was punting was the Johnston horse at 25s on handicap debut off a fair looking mark. And for me he was a very unlucky 6th today.Surely has a win in him off current mark.

haha ginger...has someone been talking....the Longsdon wasn't unfancied, pieces improved him a lot from his abject debut run....and thats all I am saying.
Hoops are toast mate....never seen so many quality players looking so lacking in belief, tough times ahead.

RV, spot on with both observations young man.....just not convinced Valbchek would have found it that easy to pass the winner as he was really very backward. I backed the Johnston horse today and am sure it would have gone very close!
