STD new number one stable jockey to Nicholls.

He offered Jacob the number 2 job.

I hope he has something decent for the Champion Hurdle as mine might get a proper ride without him on it for a change!

Not happening. The agreement is STD rides TNO and Noël sticks with Silviniaco. Every other horse is STD's to choose from.

I was quite pleased myself. Giving 15lb to what looks a very promising O'Brien horse on ground quicker than ideal. Definitely a step in the right direction after a shocking reappearance.

I was disappointed because he jumped poorly. He was ready to run following the seasonal debut. The O'Brien horse is going to be a decent horse but there's no getting away from the fact that stable regularly need the run. The jump was so poor that they never had a chance to even pressure him. Very snug win for the Ballydoyle inmate in the end. Of course there's the odd one that doesn't need it and is ready to go straight off the bat but most of the time that stables horses are a stone below their best first time up. It was a prime opportunity to nick a win early doors imho and the horse fluffed it.

That's my take on it anyway. May be wrong. He'll obviously improve on softer and later in the season.
