I am a big PUFFIN BILLY fan but two points to note; 1) He was stuffed comprehensively when meeting a quality opponent last time out - this will be greeted by this forum with the cry "yeah but he was lame after the race" - which leads me neatly to point two 2) Never back a horse for a Championship race that has had an interrupted preparation in the build up. I cant say that rule works every time but it sure does work most of the time!
Welcome aboard VW. Good to hear that people recommend this site. In general its a very friendly place and there are literally heaps of very educated posters on here. I hope you have taken the time to read the preview thread as you will certainly have a good base to start from there as to whats what this week. The depth of knowledge of some of these boys on here really is quite incredible and no I dont include myself in that category. Enjoy the festival and I hope you come out in front. Skill, luck and discipline are the key ingredients to that ;-) PS; Pretty much skinted myself in the last few days too LOL
