Dex, I remember Maoi Chinn Tire winning at 200/1 at Wetherby in a listed heat. A mere 9 lengths it was too.
Dickie Johnson keeps on going off way too quick and then getting caught rounding the home turn. Wishfull Thinking, Trafalgar Road, and a few others. Quite a worrying trend really. He's ridden those like he has no concept of pace at all.
I hate jockeys, does Jamie Spencer read the formbook? He was on the only stayer in the race and had the chance to dominate at a true end to end gallop, yet he dawdles for half a race loses his position and comes home a close fourth without being able to ride for the final 100 yds. GRRRRRRR!
Did you see it? At one point I thought they were all going to pull up and have a cup of tea before finishing. Farce, 2 non stayers finished ahead of him and also a tortoise
Swanny, he gave it a great ride, exactly what Ruby was aiming to do on his but the proper stayer came through and won on the nod. RV, that horse seems to want less of a trip to me, not very good whatever trip you put him over.
