She did that easily today. The runner up had run in a Nursery last time off a mark of 76 and finished 4th, resulting in a drop to 75 on official ratings. John Gosden won the following race in a shade faster time than Star Seeking and he is an 86 rated horse. Those figures are only a ball park of course but they are official ratings based on several runs and we have to factor in how easily Star Seeking won today. She was heavily eased and could have won by much further if desired. Star Seeking was very keen in the early stages and tossing her head about but she came there going well and soon put the race to bed. I would have no problem awarding her a figure of at least 90 for that show and she looks set for a step up in class now, Gleneagles hasn't had a big impact thus far but this looks a nice filly in the making.
Prismatic has been friendless all day in the 5:30 but I quite liked her debut and think shes worth chancing at 8/1 getting weight from the top 2.
Mark Of Respect was poor today. Never really travelling comfortably before being driven and making some headway only to weaken. The Haggas horse drifted right out in the betting but ran well. All the money was for Channon's horse and would you believe it she won. Backed from 13/2 to 7/2 kicked off the front looking like she would win well but Impulsive One started to reel her in and looked like she would prevail before Sixntwothrees just found enough to repel her late. The Haggas horse will win on the evidence of this and was almost one of those skinny morning horses who goes out to a decent price and kicks you in the balls. The pair were well clear of the rest and Mark Of Respect will need dropping in the ratings based on this run.
Rab Havlin doing a good impression of riding a finish there Public gallop, nice education, good few quid hoovered up on the exchanges.
