Morning

2.00 Pontefract-Stag Horn @ 15-8
2.50 Stratford-Song Of The Sky @ 6-1
3.10 Windsor-Steeve @ 11-2

1pt Win Patent

I see Sir Barney's second favourite trainer, Kim Bailey, has the short-priced favourite in the Stratford Bumper. Shantou Express, generally EVS fav, is out of a mare called Spanker <yikes> and finished 2nd to Lieutenant Henderson's Floressa on debut at Ludlow. Floressa has since finished 2nd in a Class 2 mares bumper at Cheltenham and the 3rd, Shanroe, has since rattled off a hat-trick of bumper wins - a rare feat indeed. So form-wise, Shantou Express is solid with a capital "S". The Twister's Leroy Brown was a fortunate winner at Worcester whilst Full Of Roque and Witness Protection both ran encouragingly on debut. One of the more interesting newcomers is Master Mead, by Malinas out of Double Mead - plenty of stamina on the Dam side and if it does get testing he could run into a place at most rewarding odds.

Interesting read but I reject the notion that Leroy Brown was fortunate at Worcester. He was steadily closing on the one in front and would have won regardless.

Witness Protection is still a work inprogress and you wont see the best of him until he tackles obstacles. SHANTOU EXPRESS has the best form in the book and should win although Full Of Roque will be much better for the introduction of a paid jockey. The Gordon team are flying and Highway One O Two has been well supported.

I had a very BIG win on Wild Sam yesterday so investing some of the winnings today on Black Buble.

TOMMY HALLINAN 10/1 Stratford 4:20
Is running up a sequence of yard changes but comes here fit from the flat and I like the extended trip for his first attempt in a handicap hurdle.
