Just had a look at the vid of the Lingers 3:30. Shocker of a ride. The horse didn't begin all that well, but to keep the beast wide throughout was terrible. I don't know if she "threw" the race, but I'm not too sure that the horse was up to either. Even if it had an inside gate and the services of Lester, it might still have struggled. Someone had a real punt at it, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they know what they are doing. There are plenty of owners and trainers with more money than sense.
