The last at Leopardstown (17:35) is an EBF Mares Flat Race. Don't think I have ever picked the winner of previous runnings, a dismal record, even though I usually pick a Gordon Elliott-trained runner. Today's no exception, will go for an £80,000 purchase, Neon Diamond, who has finished second in the two P2P's she has run in so far. All riders are amateurs, and Mr Harry Swan (5) will be on board for the Elliott stable. So, will keep plugging away hoping that one day selection will be successful.
