Caledonia Laird 500 wolves , won this last year , GK has her string in top form , i’m hopeful !!
 
Carlisle 2.20 Trimmers Lane

Last run showed a bit of promise when staying on in 5th (well beaten but could be suited by a stiffer track like Carlisle). Stable amongst the winners recently so worth a go.

Going for asking for answers in that at 8s asking runs well but just cant jump so I think with the easier hurdles asking should be going close
 
Carlisle 2.55 Shabba Dada Do

This horse ran a sound race behind Smart Lass and Royal Cosmics at Musselburgh when a staying on 3rd (3 1/2 length behind the winner). Was unlucky the run before when leading and carried out by a loose horse early in the race. I have the strong feeling todays bigger test of stamina will suit. McCains stats in non handicap hurdles at Carlisle over the last 5 seasons encouraging for each way purposes:

66 runs 10 wins 22 placed. 32 in the money out of 66 runs in this discipline not bad in my opinion.

Decent pilot takes off valuable 5 lb. Could sneak a place at least at generous odds.
 
Carlisle 4.00 Skewiff

- 3lb below last winning mark over hurdles
- stable in very good form recently
- yard has had 10 runners in the money out of 17 at Carlisle over the last 5 seasons.
- not disgraced in 4th over hurdles at Chepstow 17 days ago
- entered in a competitive looking handicap hurdle at Ludlow on Wednesday
 
4.30 Sleepy Heaven

Has run well in every of his last 4 races without winning this season (2233).

2nd on both runs at Carlisle in his career. Has won of much a higher mark a few years ago. Stable amongst the winners recently and had several placed last 14 days. I'm quite hopefull Sleepy Heaven gets his head in front today. If this doesn't happen a run for the places at least seems to be likely.

I like Major Crispies in this. Ran well at Wolverhampton last time when leading for most of the way. Mark down to 46 now. Decent apprentice up. Small stable in the money with another runner on the aw recently.

Former jump jockey James Banks has been found dead at his home , he was 36, so sad.
Thoughts are with his family and friends.
