Interest fact is that if we hark back to 2010, the Liberal Democrats actually accounted for 23% of the vote share. What price on a repeat? I suspect you could name your own price! A tough 4 years for the Liberals. Coalition government is 1/6 with the bookies. A majority looks highly unlikely. I suspect the Tories will edge Labour. Britain 99 times out of 100 goes with the safe vote and I just don't think Labour has enough strong support (or leadership)to see Ed Miliband swing it in his favour.
In my constituency they got 45.8% of the vote, back in 2010, which is why I’ve had too endure 5 years of hurt! They’ve got 55 MPs at the moment but at least half that number look likely to fall this time around.

There were a whole bunch of UKIP members in my town at the weekend. I take it they were canvassing but when I saw them they were all stood outside the library stuffing their faces whilst talking to each other in extremely loud voices (I don’t think any of them will ever need a megaphone). Last time around they only got 3% here (cor blimey even ‘New’ Labour got more than that) and although they will probobly get 3 or 4 times that this time around I can’t see them troubling the front 2. I see ‘New’ Labour are 5th choice of the market in your seat as well. Mr Gray a very deserving 1/33 shot.
Barney I read recently that eds milliband was trying to 'whoo' sinn fein in case of a chance of a hung parliament and votes will be very sort after.granted the shinners dont sit at westminister seemed like a pointless excercise!

There's a terrific bet with Paddy Power for the 7 way debate. Farage to win the 7 way debate on 2nd April. He's definitely not reflective of my politics but this is his time to shine as a showman on the biggest stage he'll ever get. I can't see anyone winning this other than UKIP's leader and 5/4 seems a flabby price to me given i'd have him around 1/2 to win on the night.
I see that the bloke who titles himself, Prince Charlie Boy, has made the front page of ‘The Sun’ this morning following this above visit. On Friday he made a speech commanding his ‘umble subjects to save energy whilst 2 days later he made an 80 mile trip to Ascot in a chopper (at the taxpayers expense to boot, of course) . Well done ‘The Sun’ for exposing this, say I. Next step...revolution!
Can I be a bit naive and ask the question who decides on the ‘winner’??? I saw the odds earlier on re the ‘leaders debate’ but the question that was foremost in my mind was who actually determines the winner??? Seems a bit too subjective to get that much involved in re a bet. Latest quotes are: 2/1 old boy Nigel, 7/2 Mr Cameron, 4/1 ‘Red’ Ed, 8/1 Nicola Sturgeon, 10/1 Cleggover, 16/1 Nattie Bennett, 33/1 Leanne Wood. Given his brilliant brain, great wit, authorative manner, calmness under pressure, his bundles of charisma and common touch it must be Mr Cameron by, to use a racing analogy, half the track in my view. However, old boy Nigel, whatever your views on him, is a outstanding orator and the only one likely to come close. He tends to use short, easy to recall, soundbites as well rather than rambling and bumbling speeches which will standing him in good stead. I recall his last appearance on ‘Question Time’. Some ‘New’ Labour filly gave a 2-3 minute ramble about what her party were going to do sort out immigration and afterwards old boy Nigel simply raised an eyebrow and remarked, ‘Labour being tough on immigration. There’s a first.’ Whatever your views on immigration that was funny and instantly made you forget everything she’d said and just remember his quip.
What?? However, one thing you've got right and that is his touch is most certainly 'common'. God save us all, including the continent of Europe, as if he cares.............. I feel similarly about left wing politicians mate. They were in charge for the biggest financial disaster we have seen in our lifetimes. How anyone would even dream of putting them in charge again so soon is totally beyond me. Can you imagine that slimy twat Milliband up face to face negotiating with the likes of Putin and Merckel? Don't make me laugh! Labour will most likely get to form a government with the help of the SNP and Plaid Cymru having sold the rest of the UK electorate down the river to a point of no return (as if we didn't underwrite these economies already). Agree with your other comments, Stick, but, erm, wasn't that in 1992 (or thereabouts) with the collapse of the pound? That was a Conservative government under John Major? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
