Can any one tell me why Tarquinius is being nibbled at... Currently 4/1 in some places from 7's... Last three runs have bee PPP... Returned from 2 year break, PU. Ran at Uttoxeter then Fontwell and PU both times... Is coming down the weights quiet dramatically, and maybe they have found a race for him...

Or is it just because the 2.45 @ Plumpton is a poor race...

    Cheers for any info...

Not seen any quotes Nass but I understand he will be appealing against the 3 day ban

I got on the 16/1 for Grumeti to win Saturday and follow up in the Triumph so was naturally delighted when they reversed the result BUT have to be honest in saying Pearl Swan was very impressive and was the "moral victor". If I'd backed Pearl Swan with a bookie who didn't pay first past the post I'd have been ranting and raving.

    Afternoon one and all,

I'm not one to play in NHF races but I have had a small tickle today in the NHF final race at Plumpton on the 8/1 shot Be Extraordinary. Just think there's some e/w value about this one though the long layoff has to be a worry.

Grumeti was very keen early in the race, and used a lot of petrol up, imo, I would back him again to beat Pearl Swan, just a word about Alan King, he would FcUk a new fanny up, something lacking in his approach imo.

He must be showing something at home Red, he's been backed at two of this tree runs this time in. He's also a horse who excels at about 30f. The state of the track might help. I like the bottom one Ballinhassig though.

I've not given up on Grumeti, I think the bigger field of the Triumph will suit him better, he looked a bit lonely when he hit the front on Saturday. I wonder if he will go for the Adonis? King said they wanted to get another run into him before Cheltenham.

Theres no doubt he could do with the experience, and I agree with you he was a bit "what do I do now" I like the horse, but imo it's in the wrong yard.

Only 10 minutes until the 'pride of the county' puts down his pre-Cheltenham marker.

He'll be struggling at Cheltenham if he can't win this, that's for sure. <cheers>

I think he'll win it as well.
He's clearly very respected and after his comments earlier in the season after his whip ban the authorities will be keen to avoid any more controversy.
I still think we're one 'incident' away from jockeys threatening to boycott Cheltenham or Aintree...

Very easy for Montbazon but still needs to brush up his jumping. Still on course for the Supreme.

Didn't see the race but sometimes they jump poorer when travelling slower, hurdlers are built to jump at racing speed and I'm struggling think of too many other Supreme entrants from that Plumpton race - I know it's one extreme to the other but it may be the pace of the Supreme impoves his hurdling....
