I am going for Purple Spectrum for the Hagges yard in the next at Kempton. This yard is one of the easiest to get a read on in my opinion and were this horse not felt capable of winning it's price would be much greater. The race is competitive however and the Botti and Gosden horses are clearly fancied. On the Botti horse is Martin Harley who for me was a stranger appointment than James Doyle for Prince Khalid. The Botti horses are often ridden by S. De Sousa and Adam Kirby but they would usually use the best available. It appears now Martin Harley is stable jockey which makes little sense to me. He has been number 1 for Mick Channon this year, someone who has had nothing short of a shocker of a season. I have nothing against Martin Harley but consider him an average jock who could quite easily make a living at the game but snapped up for an up and coming yard with huge potential, never. Anyyyyway Kempton 3.20 Purple Spectrum Watch Harley ride a cracker now.
