    2.10 Never A Word

This one was placed 7 times over hurdles and ran into the money without winning around this time last year. Is on a good mark and and Kevin Brogan ( a conditional to follow this season in my opinion) takes off valuable 7 lb. Interesting runner for each way purposes I think.

I much prefer this thread than one set up by some Dodgy Bob.

    3.40 All Yours

Well handicapped on old hurdles form and ran a good race when not beaten far (5th) in a class 3 at Newbury on the flat recently. Champion jockey Brian Hughes is not seen very often at Newton Abbot and his record for trainer Sean Curran reads 3 rides 1 win 1 placed. At 8/1 on offer looks to be a nice each way chance.

    5.10 Colby

Not without promise when 5th over cd last time over hurdles 3 runs ago (trying to make all). The winner that day Sammylou won again last week on saturday and the 4th His Dream won well at Perth recently. The 2nd Classic Escape was 3rd after that and the 3rd Watching Brief was a neck 2nd against Sammylou on september 19th. So I think Colby who races of a career low mark over hurdles today will have a decent each way chance. Peter Bowen had 3 placed (all at big odds) out of 6 runners last 14 days. So at 16/1 on offer I will take a chance that Colby reaches a place at least...

    1.30 Amazing Alba

Was bit unlucky in her hattrick bid at Musselburgh recently when having a modest draw (fav in that race). Today the in-form Kevin Stott is booked and at 10/1 I'll take a chance that she returns to the winners enclosure.

Cheers. My cousin was part of the syndicate that sold her to Barry Connel after she won her point in Mainstown. She's very useful, apparently they were a bit worried she wasn't 100% fit as she was a bit heavier than they would have liked but they thought she might be good enough to win today anyway. <ok>

17:10 Newton Abott - Bogoss Du Perret

(Won many P2P's, but two efforts over Rules (Hurdles) were pretty dismal earlier this year, probably due to the heavy going on both occasions. Breeding would suggest stamina, but on decent ground, so worth a small e/w. Best price 14/1 at time of writing.)
