Ayr

1.00 Millie Of Mayo

Nicky Richards has had his most winners at Ayr over the last 5 years. 51 times in the money from 112 runs with his hurdlers at this track looks good. So this debutant could be good enough on debut to be placed at least at 10/1.

1.35 Order Of Thistle

This well-bred horse is held in some regard by Lucinda Russell and won a bumper in good style last time. Was a late non-runner in a stronger looking hurdle race at Carlisle last week. Could make a winning debut over hurdles today.

2.10 ASUM

Has run well 2 times at this track last year and stable hit form last week. Some of its runners showed sound performances returning from a break. Nice each way chance today.

2.45 Attention Please

Another one with stable hitting form recently (several runners run really well at big odds at Kelso on saturday, 1 winner at 25/1). Attention Please surely needed comeback run last time. On a good mark and will have conditions to suit today.

3.20 Our Cilla

Relatively unexposed over hurdles with only try over 3 m best form when keeping on 3rd at Newcastle last season. Fit from the flat with a good 4th at Newcastle recently. Has form on soft and heavy. Good rider booked and money is coming down on this one today.

Some Ideas for Wexford

12:50 Friary Rock
1.25 Roney
2:00 Stander
3:45 At The Acorn
4.20 Snowpiercer

Good luck everyone

The 1.35 at Ayr is a most interesting 16 runner novices hurdle for a number of reasons. Firstly, it features probably the worst horse Rich Ricci has ever purchased, Wilhelm Vonvenster (no relation to Boris Fenster). In a bumper and 2 runs over hurdles he has shown nothing, nada, zilch, diddly-squat. Secondly, as LordGyllene points out above, Mrs Fitri Hay's famous colours will be carried by the High Chaparral gelding Order Of Thistle, who won his bumper at Sedgefield in good style from the admirable, penalty-carrying Dalkingstown. Big chance. Thirdly, Martin Keighly sends Witness Protection all the way from Gloucestershire, which ought to be a tip in itself. Fourthly, old boy Ryan Mania is back in the saddle after 5 years away and wouldn't it be lovely with a capital L if he could come back with a winner on the card? Sandy Thomson now trains Largy Perk (lovely name for a gelding) after he ran in a couple of bumpers for the Crawford yard.

A sentimental e/w on Largy Perk 25/1

Without wishing to put anyone off Witness Protection I am mega surprised that they are starting him out over the minimum trip for hurdles. I thought they would go at least 2m 4f for his hurdles debut as he is all about stamina and little about gears on the evidence thus far.

2:10 Big Nasty - Surely will make a better chaser and that run at Southwell should put him spot on for his chase debut. I am massively surprised to see him drifting markedly in the market, but hopefully that means its just more money to return!

Cor blimey very quiet on here. I see that no-one has posted on the entire forum for over 2 and a 'arf hours!

Anyway how are we???

Some of us are out working on sites ,not at screens ,just having a break now ,have done a James Ewart chaser doubled with polybius tonight

Tickety-boo old boy. Self?

I was going to say something about us all being up the crack of dawn but didn’t want to lower the tone.

Very tickety apart from work being far too busy. That most certainly is not cricket.

No, no, no, no, no, old boy, no lowering of the tone, say I. Standards and all that.

Just Damiens Dilemma, for me.

In good form and beat one of his closest rivals in this race by 25l. 5lb rise should be manageable.

Ran a cracker and will be better again up in trip. Big backwards thing that should improve with time

4.55 Kempton-Crispina @ 15-8 [Bet Victor]

Like it when there is confidence in the market for newcomers from this stable

WASEEM FARIS 22/1 Kempton still has races in him and first time out for a new yard could be the time. It's a race where I looked closely at three at least so very minor EW stakes.

Front two looked decent and were not given really hard races.
I had an EW saver on the third and it stayed on again after seemingly going backwards between the 2 and 1. Not a big yard so could be ok.

the other joint favourite looked a really nice horse for chases in the future. Amazing to see the different sizes of the horses.
