Afternoon chaps-Will be having a wee flutter on zaffy in the 8.50 at carlisle-Yard is in decent form and should be there abouts.

Anyone else getting excited aboyt the upcoming euros-Dont think ireland or england have a sniff of winning it TBH-I will be having a sneaky outside bet on France at 12/1-Have a good manager now compared to the last tool and i dont think there will be too much pressure on them as its a new team.

Have a good evening Red, i have had a win and a place today so far which tempts me enough to have a small play tonight at Windsor, not intending to stake anything other than the minimum however.

I don't think Ireland or England will win but i expect good showings from both. I can categorically tell you France will not win Euro 2012, please back another side.

Backed it earlier yorkies let's hope it wins, fearful of Oneladyowner running again so quick, they must fancy it to be on the premises. Goodluck.

Evening all, Derby and Oaks week means I will be betting at the weekend.

Interesting that AOB does leave in Father Of Science for now. With that in mind, I noticed a horse at Windsor when flicking through the paper this afternoon at work. Linkable, who went well for a long way behind Father Of Science at Chester before the heavy ground took effect, runs off a handicap mark of just 73 on debut in that sphere and I had to think Charles Hills would have been most delighted with that mark. Has a good rapport with young Carson as well, who is on board.

For those of you considering investing though, the air of caution would be the horse hasn't found a great deal late on, however dropped back to 1m today you would think he has really good frame claims? Will be interesting to see if FOS receives any form boost for Saturday.

Anyone got any thoughts on Derby/Oaks/Coronation Cup?

Derby: Smallest field for years and 5 of 12 from Ballydoyle ...................... hmmmmmmmm. It will probably be between the 3 unbeaten colts tbh but I couldn't be betting Camelot at those odds ............... mother-****ing-ridiculous. I'd probably go for an e/w on the Lanigan horse as I'd like to see him go well. The price of Camelot does represent the dearth of opposition though. A poor Derby field.

Oaks: Vow will do for me. The Haggas / Murtagh combination is one I like and Vow has done absolutely nothing wrong to date. AT least this race looks more competitive than the Derby and Ballydoyle has some real opposition here with the Zarooni filly and John Gosden's The Fugue. I like Vow's chances and price though and she'll do for me.

Coronation Cup: I'm hopeful St Nicolas Abbey will wipe the floor with this lot. Monterosso winning the DWC was a bit of a joke for me and showed, however much money you throw at that race, it is simply out of kilter with the European calender and the top European horses will never go there. If Ballydoyle hadn't bothered this would have been one of the worst G1s in the history of racing so fair play to them but shame on the Aga Khan, Khalid Abdullah, Sheikh Hamdan et al - where are your horses ???????

    Derby: Camelot

    Oaks: The Fugue and Vow

Coronation: St Nicholas Abbey and maybe Beaten Up depending on what the field shapes up like and price. I was tempted with Paddy's 7/1 earlier but that's now long gone.

In my opinion St Nicholas Abbey is not the worst evens shot I've ever seen and were he to go odds against I'd be tempted to get involved.

The Derby should be Camelot's but I will be looking for some e/w value if I am to play. He hasn't proven he gets the trip yet so I personally can't back him at the price

The Oaks, I was impressed with the Fugue LTO, I was on her when she finished 4th in the Guineas. That said it's a tough race to call and there could well be another surprise in store as many of these havent faced each other, run round epsom ect. Tbh it's never a race I get too excited about, same with the 1000 or any of the mares only group 1s.

How can you complain about the Derby lads? We might be seeing another truly great horse developing. I don't know what else you can really hope for in a Classic.

In the Oaks Maybe could very well romp it but I'm not convinced she's trained on. I don't like The Fugue's price and of the rest Kissed possibly offers the best each way value.
