Hms President looked a bit scrawny compared to some of them today. He was awkward from the stalls and never posed a threat. The Derby entry fee was wasted with him.
Impatient was very sweaty looking and the grey Stoweman was pick of the paddock. Unsurprisingly he attracted support while Impatient was weak. A nice enough win for Stoweman and he was the obvious selection really if you used Racing Post ratings because he was 6 lbs clear of the rest and 11 lbs ahead of the general alternative/danger Impatient.
