Morning, pilgrims. Hope everyone well.
I really like one today and it been a while since I said that. In fact when I saw it my roguedar flashed uncontrollably – and still is in fact. And it’s not in a contest I’d normally nominate one in either – an apprentice handicap ‘oooooooooooooooop’ at Carlisle (5.05).
IMPULSIVE AMERICAN is under the care of those terrible old rogues, the Pipe’s, and has his first run for them today since being purchased from across The Channel. He’s still a maiden after 9 starts, on the level, but a perch of 64 doesn’t look at all harsh given that he’s finished a decent 2nd in his last pair of heats. Long term I expect he will go hurdling but I would be amazed if the old rogues can’t exploit this rating first. Furthermore, the stable are in decent form with 5 winners since 13th August and the promising apprentice, Shane Gray, has been booked. Impulsive American’s opponents don’t look the greatest bunch ever assembled and I think current quotes of 4/1 are more than, and I do mean more than, fair. Meanwhile, treble your bet if you’ve any proof that ‘Daddy’ Martin had the ‘magic fridge’ open last eve.
Good luck, troops.
