Well having his knackers off has not helped calm him down one little bit. He was unruly in the pre parade ring and saddling boxes beforehand and got himself properly worked up. Greatrex said he hung left the whole way round the turn and then hung in behind horses in the straight. His advice was to try him in cheekpieces. It was very disappointing and the early promise is a very distant memory. Eyeshine and Frankie cost me a packet in win doubles. A day to forget as quickly as possible.
He has a minor throat infection but is looking really good at home. He missed Sandown on Saturday and we have decided against the amateurs race at Goodwood this weekend. We will find a race for him next week and personally I cannot wait to get him back on track.
Have you considered stepping Buzz upto 12-14f? How was he looking up close? You reckon he is fit looking?

He is very tall Ron and maybe the rest of him still has to catch up but he couldn't look much fitter could he? He is obviously still very immature and somewhere down the line will surely develop into an animal that can win races, as you say we sadly don't have the time.
