Long day for me on Monday, flying Berlin - Heathrow - Dallas Fort Worth - Wichita. Should be about 22 hours from leaving home to getting to the hotel. Flying BA business class though and got my seat on the upper deck of the Boeing 747-400 reserved - nice :) .......................... "More Champagne sir?" "Oh go on then" <laugh>)

The Ronnie O'Leary horse is surely screaming to be backed in the Carlisle bumper so please forgive me if I get this very badly wrong but I have a sneaky fancy for the Henry Daly runner

TEKAP 16/1

Henry paid 30k for this one as a 3yo and thought enough of it to run it in the big sales race at Newbury last season. The race was won by Bullionaire who I imagine is now in most peoples notebooks. Among the beaten horses were future winners, Midnight Stroll, The Hollow Ginge, Midnight Shadow and The Last Day as well as winners in waiting Silver Kayf and Harefield. Its easy to deduct that it was one of the better bumper races last year.
Its also a bloody long way in a horsebox from Shropshire to Carlisle with one horse and the last time Mr Daly did the journey for a bumper resulted in a winner.
This one has a lovely pedigree on the dams side and at 16's is almost certainly overpriced.

Nice big soft leather seats. Those days long gone for me; enjoy while you can Oddy. I remember one flight. The continental flight, sheer luxury; the local flight was like an old single decker bus with wings. Surprised it got off the ground <laugh>.

Have a safe journey

jamie osbourne is in good form and usually does well at Southwell , he sends one there tommorow Strategic Heights 3 .20 -- currently 13/2
at kempton i think Jumping Jack in the 4 00 at 6/1 has a cracking chance at the weights for age allowance and with chris gordon's string in very rude health , two win singles and an ew double as a cover seems the way to go !

good luck, whatever you do

Boots and spurs non runner.

2 15 Southwell - Livella Fella 33/1, huge price, Dalgleish only runner, Makin only ride, back on it's last winning mark when Makin rode it to victory. Straight Away obvious danger but would be amazed if Livella didn't at least come top 3

2.55 Kempton- Who Dares Wins - 100/30

Has no doubts about race fitness, which at this time of year is sometimes the difference between winning and not, Been running a stormer on the flat. Last seen over hurdles when 3rd in the coral cup at Cheltenham- that form stacks up and is only up 2lbs for that run. The fav you could argue still looks unexposed but has gone up 8lbs for his win at aintree last month, but will find this much tougher, i absolutely love the Pauling horse in this but he traditionally needs a run so I wouldn’t touch him today. But my selection is bang in form, London prize on Saturday boosted the form and proved the flat form can be transferred, he is a decent hurdler my guy and is value at 100/30

I actually got off my arse to have a bet today so i've been into town to Coral's and i've just had a fiver on yours Stick, could only get 10/1 in shop but i took it anyway. I actually thought Golden Whiskey looked worth a bet first time out especially now the yard have hit a little bit of form so i've done these two in a reverse forecast just in case they fight out the finish
