Do you think they will let it run Stick? This is the third time it has been declared, bet heavily in the early exchanges and then pulled out. I fancied it for Squires race last week only for it to come out again. It's basically a live horse due to their shenanigans and I feel it needs a pull to finish downfield to take the heat out of it, unless they feel it is so well handicapped they can put it in a very decent race and get a decent price. Bet365opened at 9-4 and now down to 6-4 but they would only have laid a bet to win around 6k or so. The connections were getting a bigger price for easier races before they kept betting it and then withdrawing it. Last weeks race was harder but this still has very reasonable opposition and so 6-4 is not great now.

The interesting fact for me Blue was how late they pulled it out on Thursday. They watched two races and the feeling we had was that they deemed the going to be a little on the quick side.
Its a poorly kept secret that the yard think they have worked a right flanker getting the animal on the mark they have and now they are taking no chances of getting it wrong.
I will be very surprised if it does not oblige.

I think I will have to let him win at 6-4 as I wouldn't be surprised if they give the horse a little tug and wait for later after he has been so flagged up, I also think 6-4 is not great against Ttainted Love and Salmon Man who will offer some competition. At a bigger price he would likely have been my only bet tomorrow but as it is I will wait for Tuesday.

As an aside I think Hughsie will make a very good trainer, he received a feather for his cap last week at Brighton when he actually managed to get the old rogue Nigel to win a race. I think he will soon be the recipient of some better horses and will succeed with them. He is also giving a few young lads and lasses their first rides from his yard as well which is nice to see.

interesting little plot oop north , the first race at carlisle and thirsk see a syndicate having two good chances--Suitcase and Taxi inthe 2 15 for last years winning stable, whilst before that they run Local Artist in the 2 00 -both available at 5/1 -couple of singles and an e/w double as a saver for me ....

good luck with Bunbury 'plot'--as they say --the bird has flown , but if it wins then its a better return than any bank or stocks !

Cheers Stick, only 7/4 but I like your confidence. One I like is DAVIDS DUCHESS 2.30 Car. Fahey on fire and I think this wins today. Short aswell 15/8. Two singles and double.

Agreed with the Royal Ascot ground Oddy- I wonder what surprises it may throw?!

A 100/1 Gold Cup winner would be quite fun!

Ballymacoll introduce their last (to run) 3yo filly this evening at Windsor. Called Divine Quickstep she is by Dansili out of a full-sister to Islington called La Divina. She is the first foal of this mare to run as her year-older full-sister Danvina (owned by Juddmonte) didn't make it to the track. She was entered for Saturday's maiden at Sandown with Moore to ride but was withdrawn at the declaration stage and Moore won the race on the same stable's Autocratic.
There looks to be a lot of likely sorts in the race so may be tough to win on a first start but I'd be surprised if she's not placed. Moore is having the day off so Durcan gets the ride.
