Morning, crew. Not often one says this on a Monday but I really do like one today.

WORK (4.30 Plumpton) - was a dual winner on the level for Dave Simcock but so far over timber the old girl has run anything but ‘on the level’ as those old rogues, the Pipe’s, have contrived somewhat to engineer a handicap mark, by giving her 2 very ‘gentle’ runs (after a promising introduction), of just 98. Work, not sure if this a lovely name for a filly incidentally, really should be a lot, lot better than this initial perching and on her handicap debut you can expect her to be a lot more ‘ready’ than she was in either of her last 2 racecourse appearances. The useful Noonan boy also takes a futher 3 lbs off her back. Recommended.

Good luck, pilgrims.

Seems I have Barneys followers in opposition today then.
I wouldn't argue with the reasoning behind his selection but it is an MPR horse so will have a hundred owners who have a hundred friends etc etc. Were it Pegasus it would surely be being backed off the boards...it isn't and the way the market is going mine may well go off as favourite.

I really am going to have to stop trying to second guess what the Pipe’s are up too after the runs of Work and earlier, Full, at the weekend. Must also stop thinking they are always ‘up too something’ (although quite frankly they always are!).

The yard not in the greatest of form right now though with 21 consecutive losers (although I doubt they are panicking as they’ve had four 2nds in that period). Work was well positioned turning in but, to be frank, stopped as if shot from that point on. When she gets her act together and the old girls ideal conditions you do have to suspect she will prove to be very well handicapped.
