Well according to Bluesky, Mikey thinks he has a bit in hand still...that is madness though ain't it , he could have played it down a bit...so we can get on big next time
Well done lads. One of interest at Tramore at a price is Preswell Lad in the 6.50 at 12/1 each way. Won last year off 90 with the aide of a 3lb claimer. Today runs off 95 with the aide of a fair 7 lb claimer. Seems to relish Tramore and regularly shows his best stuff there. Trip, track and ground all in his favour. In a very moderate 0-95 contest i'm happy to chance my arm for a point each way.
And a final bet for the day - another each way punt in Ireland. This time in the bumper. 7.50 Tramore Henry's Girl - 10/1
Boooom lord fingal obliges.just need lpool to beat geordies -1 to capp a pretty decent day punting wise
Shout ste. Good luck with the pool...I think the broadcasters have been dreaming of another 4-3 classic ever since that game in 96 which was a true great. A few goals will suffice in this, some of the TV games lately tend to be a bit of a bore fest although the Manchester Derby yesterday was decent for the neutral.
Just noticed Squire was running today, and was suprised to see he'd won. Got caught up in the Kelso card on RUK so missed it. Really really pleased for you guys, it seems Robert Havlin was spot on about him improving on the turf. I hope you all had plenty of money on it
Bumper ran quite well. Thought it would win turning in. 2nd at 10/1 is still good. Anyone understand why Sgt Reckless runs tomorrow in a shocker of a race?
Thanks for all the very kind messages today guys. It is a day that will live long in the memory. So pleased for all of you that backed him.
Thanks for reminding us last night when 14s was available until this morning -it always pays to read the daily thread!
To echo sticks comments, thanks all very much for the support and kind words. Glad many of you have benefited from a day that will live with us forever. Still buzzing and won't be sleeping! The debates around him on here have been brilliant and really opened my eyes to how much people on here know so thanks to you all. Who knows what's next but don't forget he's still a baby really who is learning the game!
Yes. Wish you all the best with him. He is beautifully bred and I keep thinking back to his début run when he was backed in from 7s to 7/2 to beat Kingman & co. The form of the race hasn't worked out at all but Kingman was 11/4. Godolphin must have thought highly of him. I'm sure the stronger pace helped him to settle. But what I found very interesting was that when push came to shove he pulled out the stops and kept on well. This time he had space. In his previous race, at the point he came under pressure he napped and it may have been because he was hemmed in and didn't like the horses coming up close on his outside. Just a thought that may be worth keeping in mind in case it happens again.
