I doubt that very much! The infamous Prescott fiddle doesnt always work. Check out one he has running tomorrow in the Lingfield 4:50 called Anno Lucis. It was a classice Prescott move of obtaining the mark and stepping up to the horses trip but the horse was having none of it and spat the dummy out, gamble foiled. So they went in again with cheekpieces applied but again the horse ran like a mule. Blinkers applied tomorrow in the last chance saloon. I wonder if the horse was always going to be a pig or was it that they soured him by yanking his head off. The former is most likely but at times its lovely to see that kind of plot come spectacularly unstuck!
Southwell 1.15 Shady Oaks Has been running well at Southwell with two 3rds so far. Small stable who often does well at this track has found a winnable race for Shady Oaks. Should sneak a place at least.
Southwell 2.15 Adrrastos Had a fruitful summer season 2019 with 4 wins and is back on a winning mark now. Stable knocking at the door with 2 seconds from last 4 runs. Southwell should suit his front running style. Usually a bold jumper
Unfortunately the betting told you everything you needed to know! That horse has no chance of wining over anything shorter than a mile and half! To me looks like another Prescott plot jobby but I know nothing
I thought Alben Spirit was the safest option in the 3.30 Leicester. Some fairly exposed horses in the field and the 3YO runners appealed more. The Fahey horse seemed to run a slight personal best last time and off the same mark of 75 he now runs in Class 5 for the first time after running in slightly higher grade previously. 7/2 this morning but only 5/2 now, he has run consistently in all six career starts to around the mid 70's and every reason to assume he will do so again today. The jockey had been on a losing run but just had a winner today so he should be hungry for another one. 3.30 Leicester Alben Spirit 5/2
Some would call it a cracking EW bet....for me the drought on here continues! I thought he was going to hose up turning in!
I think Judicial should go very close at Chester. Perhaps not technically the best in here in this Listed contest, that is offset by the fact that he is a regular winner and he has been as good as ever this season. Major Jumbo is well tipped up here but he doesn't win often enough in my opinion and he has only half of Judicial's career wins on 7 successes. He is a remarkable placer with 17 though, whereas Judicial is more boom or bust with 5 career placings. The course form of 211 at Chester for Judicial helps tip the balance and with his main rival so apt at getting a place he was the obvious one for what won't be a big forecast. 6.30 Chester Judicial 9/4
It was a cracking each-way bet. Not the sort of race I bet in but looking at the field this morning the winner and the eventual third looked the dangers to your selection and the tricast was possible basing the other two with your pick.
Most sane people would call it a cracking each way bet especially if you got 20/1! S.P of 12/1 and you might have got 14s today as well - so overall not too shabby whatever price within that range in my book..
Looks between judicial and major jumbo i think i could only take the r/f but if i was pushed i think i would go for the latter . Good luck though and an intresting race dark persuit will be one to watch in future i feel .
700 Chester Interesting to see Williams has booked Kingscote for Restorer and at 7s i wouldnt be suprised if he sets a strong pace and makes all
Shout Grendel, and thanks too. Got 9/4 which was generally available for some time before the 'off'. Absolutely breezed it!
Judicial couldn't get to the front but he travelled well in behind. Once he got out he picked up very nicely and nailed Major Jumbo comfortably by 2 and 3/4 lengths. That was a nice performance and the time was quick. Major Jumbo kept on for the forecast. Not the biggest forecast in history but a 9/4 winner and a £5.40 forecast made it a nice enough day.
