what was the score (not that it matters). I'm guessing 1-0 to them going from posts on here.
1 nil.....not bad against a team that finished 3rd.
But their fans were saying how unimpressive they are preseason

We got the first World Champ from the British Isles on Sat night. He's a mouthpiece but he's a good fighter. You should give it a try, its a good sport.

Do you have postcodes in Canada, Kilburn?
The guy I work with has been chatting about Conor McGregor for months Swordsy they went to school together in Dublin??? He apparently fights differently to others... does he box more or kick more (I admit I had turned off by then) anyway as you said he is a lippy character...
Never seen it myself but it is as brutal as they say

Its perhaps not a sport for birds Betty. The ring does often be covered in blood after the fight. It can look quite savage at times.

We got postcodes yesterday for the first time Kilburn. Its not going too smoothly. GPS systems are sending people all over the place. It has one of the Airports located in the wrong county. I'm worried that if I put somewhere into my Sat Nav I could end up in the sea :frown:

As in the case of your programmable TV remote, just keep your nephews & nieces away from it. How are you making out out with those child car seats these days?

I've just checked on Google etc. The Sat Nav navigation systems in Dublin are all sorted out now. You can trust them and follow their instructions. :emoticon-0148-yes:

That's a shame. This is a little stereotypical but I've always found asking nearly anyone over 60 for directions in Ireland one of the most entertaining things you can do there. I love the assumption that you know the names, occupations and life stories of anyone within a 20 mile radius, and that these somehow act as landmarks.

My Dutch neighbour has given up on asking directions from the locals, mainly because at least once during the list of instructions he has to follow he is told to go "half way" down a particular road and then turn right or left as the case may be.

"How can I go half way down a road I have never been on before?"

Easy, go the whole way and then come back halfway, just to be sure.

Best one I heard was "Well I wouldn't start from here if I was you"
