Not a great blues fan either, but I have to admit that Morrison, Stewart and Miller all have great voices. Van Morrison's a moaning auld git. I remember him getting all wound up once claiming that early Springsteen and Thin Lizzy were just rip off artists who'd stolen his sound. He did have a point though. Good luck with yer post modern beat combo do you do gigs?

I have been so distracted by all the Rod Stewart pish that I completely forgot to mention the football. Wales are rapidly becoming our bogey nation . Mind you it's Scotland and most folk do us these days.

Van Morrison is a dick from what I've heard, same as that Ginger Baker, another miserable bastard who seems to think he's doing his audience a favour.

I've not done any gigs but they've played a fair few so i'm looking forward to actually giving it a go, even if i'm a bit too old to be playing a first gig.

We were awful the other night Scotland and it sadly looks like we could end up at the bottom of a very poor pile, I never thought i'd see the day personally. I like Strachan though, always have, he knows what he's doing so I'm sure he'll do a good job when we get all our best players back fit. We are desperately short of quality CBs and need at least 2 other decent strikers because Miller is done. Apart from that we have decent full backs and midfielders, we are not as bad as we seem I think.

I would agree that Strachan is a good choice and I think he will eventually get it together. Problem is we are slipping further and further down the rankings in the draws for these tournaments.

We do have some decent players which makes it worse when you see what's happening with Scotland. Us older guys are spoiled in that we saw them qualify from the 70's to the late 90's. They had a spell from 1958 till 1974 when they didn't get into any of the major finals, 16 years, almost a footballing generation. Think of the guys who never played at a major finals for Scotland, John Greig, Bobby Lennox, Billy McNeill, Baxter, Ian St John, Greavsie (well technically he hasn't!) and John White. Denis Law and Jimmy Johnstone made cameos at the *** end of their careers. We have actually performed worse than that now. If we make the next Euro finals that will have been 18 years.
