Spanish - Millwall are managed by your Messiah Holloway, and were bang in form. It's a very decent win. 8 points isn't a bad start at all, beat Brighton Tuesday and that's quite decent infact!
Yes you can have bad luck and lose Spanish - Reading had two shots all game vs us and picked up 3 points but I don't recall you using the luck argument after that game buddy............ !
By all accounts westy, we were gash against Reading but obviously you never saw that thru them rose tinted specs of yours!! Olli is not my mesiah but i prefer him over Mick all year long!!
We were gash Spanish - I went to the game - but Reading had 3 shots all game we had around 15 and lost to a very unlucky goal. No way we should have lost that game. But I suppose it's different for a team playing us .......
15 shots and never scored, wow, thats not bad luck, that my friend is a disgrace!! We lost to one of the poorest teams (at the time) in the league who were decimated by injuries but you try and take positives out of the game just to back up your support of Mick, classic!!
It's got absolutely nothing to do with supporting Mick Spanish. I wrote after the game we were garbage. However, you've decided Millwall were " unlucky " yesterday so why weren't we " unlucky " when it happened to us? Very double standards.
Alright you two..calm down dears! I happen to be more optimistic about things...aside from the Skuse issue. Another good win Tuesday and lets see how we go. Confidence and a decent run of form is half the battle.
South godl me and Spanish love having a right old ding dong with one another - it's what we do! Second half at Derby = my optimism has well and truly come back. We can definitely do well this season.
Millwall were not really unlucky yesterday. They had more flicks and flair than I have seen from us in the whole of the MM reign put together but couldnt/ didn't get anywhere near testing our keeper. Take away Bishop and we were our standard safe and steady old selves. It gets results sometimes and fails on others. Yesterday it got the result so yes reasons to be happy but we still lack any real sense of 'wanting to attack' We are definitely a tortoise in the tortoise and hare scenario but will we have enough to get us to the dream positions? Real plus points for Bishop though - it was a real breathe of fresh air to see a central midfielder drive forward and scare defenders - when the hell was the last time we had a central midfielder like that contracted to the club??
