Our only real chance of survival. The only midfielder who knows where the goal is and prepared to do anything to score.

    Gelhardt
    Kept going not great
    Coyle
    Great cross

    Macca
    Geldharte
    Jones.
Mention in despatches for the squirrel.
    ....
Thought they all battled today and it was a hard earned point. Burstow looked good when he came on and Crooks put himself about until he tired. Ditto Pedro.
Did attacking the South Stand in the 1st half work? And of course the North Stand in the second, for a change? I thought it did, if you ignore Norwich scoring almost straight from the kick off in the 2nd half.
So not too disappointed tonight, a point against a decent team is not to be sniffed at, better than another home defeat.
Our crowd tried to lift the team but it all seems a bit disjointed with bursts of encouragement from all the stands, but never all together at the same time.
But at least there was some encouragement. Fans streaming out before the end when the game is locked at 1-1 is not a good look though.

Alzate. Everything goes through him, surprised he was subbed late on
Geldhart. Started strongly and was positive with the ball going forward
Crooks. Assured finish, not sure anyone else would have put it in the net

Not too sure about the starting line up, nor some of the subs changes. Puerta needs to be on the pitch with Alzate & Matazo, they are the best footballers in the middle. The performance was not good enough for us to survive relegation if repeated.

Gelhardt - thought he caused them problems
Macca - His best game for ages
Crooks - Not just the goal, but his physicality. Was still laying the ball off while being manhandled

Good efforts from Slater, Pedro and Crooks. Some tidy things and some awful from Burstow. I still think he'll come good.

Roll up, roll up, the votes are in. All votes, counted & verified, 5 points for 1st place, 3 points for 2nd, 1 point for 3rd.
Gelhardt, the run away leader with 89 points! Well deserved, worked his “u know whats off” never stopped. A good spread of the points though, showing appreciation of our defenders, all featuring apart from one, also appreciation for return of Slater.

    Gelhardt 89
    Alzate 54
    Slater 39
    Macca 31
    Jones 30
    Crooks 9
    Coyle 8

And that concludes the voting from Howden.

Ps. No points deducted from Coyle despite his #sweargate moment, although not a good look from a captain swearing at the family South Stand area.
