I'm really looking forward to watching this one on TigerPlayer as it sounds like our best performance of the year, and I hope a confirmation that Bruces has indeed seen the light with his team selection and tactics. Voting for the top-3 is clearly going to be a difficult decision with so many candidates. Anyhow well done Steve Bruce and the whole team for a quality and entertaining victory against possibly our strongest competition for promotion.
A difficult choice for all the right reasons. A great team performance with balance and attacking intent from all 11 players. 1) Livermore. Excellent effort and energy all over the pitch. 2) Meyler. Looking like the player we saw the last time we got promoted. 3) Clucas. Showing great promise in the team at present. Honorable mentions for Greggsy for that save early on and Dawson for a commanding defensive display.
Livermore and Meyler are looking superhuman in the middle of the park at the moment; nobody can boss us there. Granted, things may have to change as the season progresses and develops, but right now they look invincible.
Livermore has bulked up alot in his time away. Noticed a couple of times yesterday players tried to nudge him off the ball and they just bounced off him. He's a unit.
It's a pretty ace squad. We can get injuries, we can get suspensions and there's always the possibility that Fatboy can **** this up.
