Ridiculous starting line up - Meyler is past it, legs gone - no idea where he was supposed to be playing, kept strolling around in circles aimlessly, Elmo was constantly looking down the wing to pass the ball to him but there were huge gaps because he was on walkabout and as for Meylers pass back in the dying seconds when we should have been flying forward - clueless - Rosie always gives 100pc but isn't really Prem standard - we could have played Brady or Robo from the start - even Figgy or Dudgeon could have done better jobs but Brucie loaned them out - at least they could cross the ball with their left feet, Rosie had to keep stopping to cross with his right - no wonder we started to play when Robbie and Robbo came on, exactly the same on Wednesday - why not start them - Quinny played well and his expression said it all when he was subbed - hes off and Meyler stays on even though hes playing **** -explain that - thought Aluko played well till he ran out of steam - **** only knows why Bruce was on the bench - offers nothing - wonder who will be next on the Brucie naughty step - Ben Arfa and Macca are banned - maybe if Davies complains he'll be next - we could be so much better but Brucie is ****ing it up in the same way he ****ed up Europe and the Capital 1 with his ridiculous team selections - why bring in Ince and McGuire then never use them - cmon Brucie get a ****ing grip and start playing the better players and start attacking rather than constantly holding back - its a **** tactic and its **** to watch
Chester Dawson McGregor Thought Huddlestone and Livermore tried their best to make things work in the middle but had so little out wide or ahead of them to work with.
But did you see how West Brom made a lot of precise passes to team mates who were closely marked? Quite often our players passed to the opposition when there was none of our players anywhere near them!
McGregor Chester Dawson Pity that Ben Arfa is a twat cos againt WBA he'd be the difference My Baggies mate thinks we and then are just as **** as each other and that it's 3 out of 5 for the drop (inc Lesta, Burnley & QPR)
A little too strongly worded for me but you echo my sentiments exactly. Dawson (Very solid) McGreggor (for the save that got us a point) Chester (confident performance) I know this is the "Modern Day" way to play football but 'Possession Football" does absolutely sweet Fanny Adams for me. The ball being passed from one side of the field to the other before being (invariably) being 'closed down' and the ball (invariably) passed back to the goalkeeper is totally boring.
Obviously you may not have been in E5! There was a bloke in the bog there proclaiming that Meyler was Man of the Match "by a country mile!" As for mine, I'd go 1. Chester 2. Dawson 3. McGregor
Chester McGregor Dawson That's 90 minutes of my life I'll never get back... Jelly has got to be up there Hernandez in my view. Aluko looks aimless and harmless. I'm sure I'll get slated for this but I think Hudd's has really lost it! Obviously, just a loss of form, but there is no decision making or leadership going on in the midfield...frustrating!
I actually thought Huddlestone was very good in the first half, his long pin point balls to Elmo were the only thing driving us forwards. That back heel was delicious too.
On principle i like to disagree with you but nail on the head there Lincs. Hudd should have been banging Bruceys door down to be named Captain once Davies was dropped. Games are won and lost in the CM. I keep saying it cos its true.
