Our defence hoofed it cos the midfield hid. Hudd needs to step up if he wants to go to the WC. These days you have to get used to receiving the ball with a man on you. Quite a few times Hudd panicked and laid it off to a defender instead of holding it and working an angle.

Like others have said I was also amazed at how long SB waited to put Aluko on. We desperately needed him to cure the hoofers and I remember thinking it will be typical for us to go a goal down before he's brought on.
It was strange because Aluko was stripped and ready to come on 10 minutes before he did. I can only assume that SB wanted to leave the last 2 substitutions as late as possible, as Long seems to be struggling and to see whether he worked it off and could continue. As Macca had been substituted, he didn't want to finish with 10 men on the pitch, if Long had to come off.
