    1. Sagbo
    2. Figueroa
    3. Meyler

I guess I've picked one from the front, one from midfield and one from defence but there were a lot of great performances today. Bruce had a solid game as did Davies. I don't think anyone let us down today, chuffed with the lot of them.

I didn't think the ref was too bad, but how the hell did Gerrard not get booked for his late challenge on Figueroa in our box?

Apart from the fact he somehow didn't book a single Liverpool player...

Considering they committed 16 fouls, that is ridiculous.

watched it on Sky in the pub, no idea honestly who to vote for, McGregor made a fantastic save too..

    1. Huddlestone
    2. Bruce
    3. Sagbo

it feels unfair to choose 3 since those of us of a certain age know today's win was historic, I'm welling up

1 Meyler - broke up Liverpool's attacking play numerous times when we risked being over-run in the first half. Speed, coverage, great timing. Possibly his best match for us.
2 Bruce. When I saw him in the line up I expected to see him sat in front of the back three, but nope. He looked as good as Davies, which is saying something, but for me the one on one where Suarez ran past him and he still managed to hang in enough to give McGregor opportunity to win the ball edged it.
    3. Sagbo. He cost how much ??? Bloody hell, that's good value. He needs a bit more confidence, but he's got everything else. Liverpool couldn't handle him.

Elmo a close 4th. He was all over the place and even looked like he could tackle in the first half.

We were great today, but what happened to Liverpool in the second half. We were the second best team in the first half but it was no contest after the break.

I thought Suarez would run riot against Bruce Jnr, but he was my top larker today. He had him in his back pocket.

Fantastic performance capped off by the fact Suarez got pissed off towards the end & they were having words with each other.

Other noteable mentions- McGregor (for that save, I had a feeling we'd get something after that) & Sagbo (led the line well)..

I think it's a good thing Davies gets his suspension over and done with against Arsenal. Rather he miss that one than Swansea or Stoke.

    Very good point.

I don't expect anything other than a loss on Wednesday, so it is good he gets his suspension out the way for that match.

He was excellent yesterday, but I still wouldn't want him in our starting XI on a regular basis.
