"...wasn't much of a Burnley threat....."? I think every time that Burnley broke away in the first half, they were a threat. They hit the bar, scored a goal and had umpteen chances to our none. To be fair this was largely down to the ineptness of our midfield, but I personally don't think we defended well at all as either a back three, or a team. The first 45 minutes were a lesson in how to defend and break quickly, sadly not a lesson instigated by us!!!
I see what you mean but I think the back 3 only really had trouble when they had men over on us on the counter which happened far too often. They were never actually breached were they? As for Burnley's chances they were two hopeful long shots, just because Stockdale made an enormous meal of them both, doesn't mean they were geuine chances does it>?
