McShane Proschwitz Brady Nobody else seemed to be willing to perform that match. We're definitely missing Elmo's crosses...
I voted for Macca (2nd I think behind Proschwitz without trawling back through this thread), and yes he has had some good performances recently, however, just like Jakopovic is to Gulasci, we all know he is a crucial mistake waiting happen!!!!!
You're seriously voting for Meyler?! I'm with OLM on this one. Meyler had a poor game, looked disinterested, lazy and lethargic. Were we watching the same match? My MOM was easily Paul McShane, especially in the first half, looked the only one who was giving it his all. And although he's had his criticism in the past (deservedly so at times) i'd say he deserves his place in the team and a new contract if his performances continue.
This is true, however i'd rather have someone who gave it their all and made a mistake than players who look like they couldn't be arsed.
Meyler did have a poor game, yes he put in some tackles but McKenna could do that. We need more from Meyler and I'm sure he will prove to be a good signing, as he showed us his quality when on loan. There are others who have also had a dip in form. A new signing and Elmo back will hopefully give the team a lift.
McShane, Proschwitz, Brady. Meyler looked as though he was unable to pass to a team-mate, Olfinjana dire.
1 - Macca 2 - Pross - much more in tune with the game than previously. 3 - struggling to select a stand-out performer. Meyler was poor to start not putting his foot in, played better when 442 and picked the ball up form the back, but didn't shoot when had the chances or penetrate the area. Rosey played better, but delay crossing and gave their defence time to get back too often. Chester was good without being as good as before Xmas. Koren is a class act, but having to do too much in swapping his roles, not a natural striker, but tries hard to make things happen. Brady and Quinn need to link up more like they did previously and get balls into our strikers (once we get someone in the box).
Well I make that 19 out of 25 votes for Proschwitz so far. Macca second. So looks like given some decent playing time rather than 10 minute cameos he's beginning to adjust to our style of play. Would love to see him up front with a quick striker to feed off his flick ons and passes. He holds the ball up well and could be an increasing threat in the box if we get Elmo back to give him the crosses.
