Everyone's entitled to their opinion, and I'm seriously not having a pop, but I just can't let your post go without asking you on what basis did you deem Figueroa to be MOM, what did he do that stood out for you, and how is it that you don't have Maguire even in the top three?

Sure. I saw Figgy make one mistake and otherwise thought he did v well with lots if positive runs which we're then not picked up with a telling pass. I thought Maguire played well, yes, but for me not in my top three.

Maguire....outstanding, crunching tackles, some good upfield runs too.
Ince....finally a player willing to attack with pace...why was he out on loan SB?
McShane....strong defensively and got up in attack well. Poor decision on giving up corner for their goal.

Dishonorable mention...Huddlestone...what has happened to him. Ponderous and indecisive. Get rid....worth half what we paid at best
Sagbo....another slug. Free transfer for him

I've seen a few people slate McShane for heading the ball behind for that corner. I just want to ask why?

For me it was the right thing to do, the ball was bouncing and he had an enemy running fast right on his heels. If he had a poor touch or the enemy got across in front we'd have been in real danger. And if that'd happened everyone would be slating him about how he should have just headed it behind.

Davies pitiful challenge for the corner was the sole reason for that goal, not the fact the corner was conceded in the first place.

Maguire - Built like a shed.
    Quinniesta
McShane - Great to have him back.

Ince showed a lot of positives. Harper made some cracking saves, does anyone else think that he could have come for the cross that led to the corner they scored from?

I found Brady frustrating, lost the ball too easily, maybe he should practice set pieces. Huddlestone wasn't sharp. Aluko and Sagbo weren't as good as hoped!

Definitely bang on the money regarding the pathetic challenge from Davies for their first goal, he needs a rest.

Credit to Figgy he came in and was very solid, in fairness everyone did well apart from Aluko and Sagbo, did Aluko find a team mate once?
