Right man, right time for us. Safe pair of hands after Neil walked out. Seemed like a really nice bloke as well. Good luck to him.

He was a breath of fresh air at the time for us. I often see him in Yarm near where I live. He's a top top bloke and deserves the highest of respect.
Im so happy for him that he's now put his health issues behind him.

Pleased hes healthy and back in the game.

Like most I was really sceptical when we appointed him but he very quickly showed it was a great decision. We played some of the best football I've seen us play under Tony and without those defensive injuries and losing Ross Stewart long term I actually think we'd have been promoted under him.

Hes a genuinely likeable fella and a proper football man.

Was good for us and chuffed to see him in a new job. I do feel like near the end he was starting to get annoyed with the "project". Signing young players with potential, he gave the young lads a shot but think he wanted a bit more experience.

This performance and especially that 3rd goal is one of my fondest memories. You forget how good that 3rd goal was until you watch it again
How the hell that third goal wasn't a goal of the season contender in the EFL's eyes I'll never know. If it had been scored by PSG, Barcelona, Liverpool or so on it would be shown time and time again and held up for what it is, a brilliant piece of football and a fantastic goal.

I know mate, apparently a shot from outside the box is better in their eyes instead of appreciating teamwork.

Was it Gooch that played the flick after recieving the first pass and then putting the cross in? If so that goal was all down to him.

Goodluck in you're new job...

I love this bloke, I have many a fond memory of his time in charge with us.
Memories of how good we were going forward, Amad and Roberts were insane to watch at that level some of the touches and link up play was outrageous. All because of the freedom he allowed them to express themselves.

Amazing one touch stuff took seconds to score. Insane team goal. Some of our goals that season weren't even listed.
