Brilliant and for those who want to chat in multi-forum threads then go nuts.

All i want is one thread that is reserved for leicester Fans only. There is a good number of us who could easily get by without having every thread on our board sabotaged by WUMs.

I really dont think its asking too much!!

Go to the top of your board and press groups,set it up,give yourself a name,any interested Leicester folk can join and it will be exclusively yours..(just in case you don't already know)
 
The original post on this thread was not about WUMS. They are an irritation but nothing else. It is the racist remarks that have been made and these people should be banned from Not 606.

or a mod do a sticky thread explaining 1 thread for banter/wums from other clubs supporters and other threads to be left alone for the leicester fans (like suggested above) then the mod closes the thread so no one can reply to it. that way the mod shows his/her authority and shows they are in control, then the mod post a thread titled official banter/wum thread and delete other new threads that are banter/wums.

end of the day, this board is for leicester fans. fans from other clubs who visits this board are guests and should in no way distrupt all threads with banter/wums. any fan from other clubs will have to abide by the mods rules of that board and where there is a thread from the mod expaining all then the leicester board can be a leicester board for the leicester fans <ok>
 
Brilliant suggestion! As i say WUMing is part of forum life and to some extent would be pointless without it. I am even happy for 90% of our board to be covered in WUMery but it would be nice to have one safe place to chat without there involvment.

I think Wizereds suggestion is a great one (and no i didnt know it existed) - perhaps this can be sent to other boards to implement!
 
Everyone wants a few wums from time to time because without them it would be boring. The only problem is the wums are pretty crap

The best wum ever was waccoe off the old 606 back when we was in league 1

Season is far too early to predict anything apart from the demise of brizzle <ok> When Leicester were buying all these high profile players (and can't be too far away from 15 million) fans were rubbing it in, belittling other boards. There's one fan that still has his signiture as 'we have bought the division' or words equivelent, so when things started going wrong, a backlash should have been expected. I think there is a fine line between humour and racism, and think this is defined by intent. For instance, if the remark was meant to be nasty or melicious, thats bang out of order.

Glad to have been of some help and I have already noticed your group board,why don't you do a thread explaining your effort and ask one of your mods to stick it up for a week to notify all your fellow fans,we did this and got 45 members...good luck...<ok>
 
I think it is pretty natural that we are being wummed. The owners have made us stand out by spending a fair bit and also by employing Sven as manager. We have also annoyed certain clubs by buying or trying to buy their players. They will have their say now but I think eventually we will be successful and they will have to eat their own bitterness because saying anything will just make them look silly.

We probably did get a bit carried away in the Summer and brought a lot of attention onto ourselves. The song we sing about 'buying the league' looks a bit daft while we are anywhere but top of the table. Our expectations have led a lot of people to be hugely disappointed by a pretty so-so start.

I think we have to get our feet back on the ground.

But...many comments on here are blatantly racist and should be removed. One of the worst offenders is OriginalLambrettaMan and he is a Mod on the Hull board. Maybe it is the 1970s in Hull, Bristol and Leeds but Leicester is a bit more enlightened and has progressed.

The racism needs to be stamped out. We would not have had racist mods on the BBC!

Now now, Forrest, many of us have expressed regret at your ban from our board. It was becoming a little tedious for OLM, I think, as you simply repeated the same ****e about how **** Ledger was/is better than Hobbs. I should definitely be Hull Mod, I use the site most and I wouldn't let the power of of being moderator of a football forum (<doh>) go to my head (like those on the Southampton board, who delete comments from children about their confidence in achieving promotion). If you petition to have me instated as Hull Mod, Andy, I will unban you. <laugh>

PS. I'll still be here in December, if you fancy having me over. <ok>

Come on then, let's see where OLM has made a comment in earnest saying that one race is superior/inferior to another.
