    Does anyone know how much we get for finishing 2nd in the PL and how much we'd make for getting through to the second round or quarters of the CL? (I think they are realistic goals)
    The reason I ask is,..... Lets say that the Chavs offer £100m for Modric, would the money from the above be close to the £100m??
    If so, then It's not worth selling him for less than £200. I don't want Luka to go, so don't start on me, I'm just trying to think with my business head on.

    Well he was worth more than £40mill in the summer, add £40mill for the Champions League and £10mill for selling to a top 4 rival and another £10mill as a tapping up tax so £100mill and we might pick up the phone to Abramovich.

    In a change of form from the man I'm paraphrasing, we wouldn't sell Chelsea a virus.

    Well I thought it was 'Modric rearing his ugly head', but there you go. And as for biscuits, blokes called Gary that have no hair must get fed up being called Garibaldi. :)

    There's another very good reason nobody would want to move to Chelsea - AVB has gone loopy ahead of schedule. If he's not kicking off with Gary Neville for a fair assessment of Luiz's headless chicken displays of late, he's demanding the players celebrate all goals with him to show there is "unity" in the camp...in the manner last witnessed in Stalinist Russia. And if they sell Alex and Kalou to Arsenal (it was discussed here yesterday, it;s on CaughtOffside today...) he's handing over their Champion's league place on a platter.

    The only place I listen to contract deals is Chelsea TV. I neither read nor care about any in the papers.

    So, can you explain how it makes someone stupid?
