Nor mine. In fact cashley epitomises most of what's wrong with football nowadays. A childish idiot with more money than brains - which, I suppose, in his case wouldn't be too difficult
I don't like Ashley Cole and I'm sure that there aren't many people around that respect him as a person, but if his account of what happened is accurate, then I can't blame him for wanting to leave Arsenal. He was offered less than the offer Chelsea put to him (allegedly), agreed to stay anyway and then the Goons tried to sneak in a last minute pay cut. The amounts that we're talking about are still ridiculous and it's not like he'd struggle to survive on £55k pw, but that'd piss me off too and I'd wonder about why my own club seemed to want to stitch me up.
His ghost writer must've been a right clown. Cole's obviously not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but you'd have to question the people that he pays to do his thinking for him on that one. Who did they think they were appealing to with that book?
Scholes never really had a reason to leave though, Lidls. He doesn't even have to pay an agent, does virtually no promotion work bar a few bits and bobs for sponsors and has very little media presence. Why leave a club where you are so well regarded, rewarded and successful?
That extra £5k a week would really help me cover all the costs off crashing my car all the time as I can't drive. I'm sure Cashley has a good reason for wanting the extra £5k too, I imagine all those picture messages start to rack up for him.
