I was aware of that one but as I couldn't find a link I thought it best to not use it - the incidents I included were supported with verifiable links. Interestingly no chav has yet been able to supply a link to a recording of Modric saying that he wants to joins the chavs.

Personally, Ensil, I don't doubt that he did want to join the Chavs. He probably had about 100,000 reasons per week for wanting to do so. Unfortunately, he should have thought of that, before he signed his new contract.

It the 100,000 were his reasons then it would have made no difference where he went, that it was the chavs that first made aware of his earning potential was the factor. Perhaps he should have just come out and said "I want to go and play for a club that will pay me more than Tottenham do".

As you say - he should have thought of that before signing his new contract and saying "I am happy at Spurs and believe that with them I will fulfil all of by ambitions".

Oh, come on, Ensil. Surely you don't expect honesty from a fooballer, or his pimp, do you?

I actually don't expect honesty from anyone - hoping for and expecting are 2 different things.

Obviously what he really meant when saying "I am happy at Spurs and believe that with them I will fulfil all of by ambitions" was more likely to be "I do hope that now I have committed the next 6 years to Spurs that some russian owned club from Fulham come in and unsettle me by offering me lots more money."

Either way, mate, you're not gonna get it. Unfortunately, as they used to say in my old business, "It's all about money - the rest is conversation" Looks like football is going the same way.
