If there's anybody we are able to trust, it would be Graham Carr....so I leave it to the club

He'd be a good aquisition for the club.

As stated previously; he's a Lovenkrands style player so would give us another option up front to play.

Wasn't sold on this guy when we were linked to him in the summer, but I know nothing about him of course so he'll have every right to prove me wrong. Just hope we go for another striker as well in January/Summer, but until then.. In Carr We Trust!

Buy Ridgewell and Pieters and we're sorted then! Already have 3 players who can cover RB (4 if you include Gosling..)

Have Mali qualifyed for the African Nations? We sign him in January and he'll immediately bugger off again, what's the bets he gets injured at ACON?

Cissokho would cost a lot though, weren't Lyon wanting like 12m? Ridgewell would be good cover for LB and CB. And Pieters can do the shuffle!

either Pieters or Cissokho for me though, yeah I agree.

    Dear Mr Carr,

I was wondering if you'd care to join me on a trip to Belgium to visit the wonderful city of Genk.

I was thinking that in the morning we could visit the old slag heaps of the now defunct mining industry and then retiring for a lunch of moules et frites washed down with a crisp Orval before perhaps taking in a match and watching a young player who may be beneficial to Newcastle.

I'll pay for everything of course as it's always been a dream of mine to walk round slag heaps with you.

    Regards,

    OT

I like Matthew Briggs who impressed me at Left Back when we played Fulham and can also play Centre back, 20 years old
    reminds me of Chris Smalling.

@Cwarr07 More good news for #nufc with the signing of Modibo Maiga for 9m€ on a 4.5 year contract.

    Obviously not happening now then!

I've seen Sochaux a few times and he looks like a very good player, in Ligue 1. I'm not sure whether he'll make the step-up and whether he's better than what we have already. He'll get a few i imagine but so would Best. I say keep the moolah until something else comes along, unless this isn't out only signing.

I think we need to remember that Tiote was a Championship-level player probably coming in as backup, Cabaye was a lightweight who would struggle in this league, Marveuax was a crock and Ba was an average player who had a flukey run.

Maiga could very well up his game, just like Best has and become a valuable member of the team. Let's just wait and see what happens. <ok>
