Well go on then, explain to me why they're sectarian.
That is, without using the modern day Scottish trend of throwing the sectarian tag at anything you dont like the look of or at someone who has successfully ripped the pish out of you.

Still not spotted any sectarianism in there. Is it the mention of "Roman Catholic IRA" you refer to? If so then you are very much mistaken 
The worst thing the media and government in Scotland did was give the vast amount of mongs in the country the offended bone to gnaw on indefinitely. It has given a platform for people on messageboards, newspapers and holyrood to spend endless time and money on something that doesnt really matter while punishing every football fan in the country and causing increased tension between people with different beliefs.

So you don't think that description betrays the slightest hint of sectarian hatred?
Surely the religious beliefs of terrorists is irrelevant? Is it catholicism that makes them terrorists? Or is the Orange ****wit simply using (a very few) dissident republican terrorists as a convenient stick to beat the catholic community as a whole?

He made a mistake.
He should have said fenians but the daily record told him that morning all catholics are fenians and vice versa.
I have catholic friends who attend the 12th and see it as a day off work and for having a drink and a laugh. Back before the troubles both sides of the community would openly go and watch these parades.

I'm fairly sure that the rules of the orange order state that members are forbidden from marrying catholics or attending catholic mass. The grand wizard (or whatever the **** he's called
) slagged off Tony Blair for being married to a catholic calling him a 'traitor to his religion'. That sounds pretty sectarian to me. I'm neither catholic nor particularly offended by the OO. I just think it's pretty obvious they are inherently sectarian. But if you want to put it down to me being a 'mong', or simply reacting to some 'PC gone mad' / tabloid ****e / Alex Salmond bullshit / MOPE offendedness, feel free.

Thats a lie for a start. There may be people that think that way, and you'll always get them but its not a rule. I dont even know how I've ended up defending them, as I have know interest in the organisation. Possibly it was triggered by a Groin Brigade type republican ersewipe talking pish.
By the way, you can hate something without being sectarian. I fucking despise people who watch X-Factor, Big Brother or Jeremy Kyle, people that drink Strongbow and fat birds who wear things they clearly shouldnt. This isn't sectarianism, just anger and disappointment.

It may be slightly more 'relaxed' than previously (and not often enforced in the case of attending funerals etc) but it's a rule nonetheless. Any organisation in which that's even an issue is inherently sectarian.
The OO is blatantly sectarian in every aspect and it's beyond me how you can possibly argue otherwise - it's just ****ing weird
And thanks for explaining that it's possible to hate something in a non-sectarian way. But an organisation that requires members to hold a specific brand of religious belief, that bans members of other brands of the same religion and forbids their members from intermarriage with that other faith is pretty much the dictionary definition of sectarian.
Medro that's twice I have seen you peddle that myth. Why would the Catholic community want to celebrate an event that preceeded the penal laws and made them second class people in their own country? Also, The Orange Order ran Northern Ireland for 50 years, 50 years in which Catholics were heavily discriminated against. Anyway you contradict yourself. Either Catholics attend the 12th now, like your so called friends, or they used to before the troubles. As Admiral pointed out, the whole organisation is the very defination of sectarianism. That fact cannot be argued. Frank, as I suspected, was talking about something he had no knowledge of.
This is a very recent story and shows the Orange Order for what it really is.

Go ask a few older people, my grandparents from Dee Street, my Da from Lisburn and my friends da from South Belfast who is a catholic have all said this.
When the troubles started this stopped but yes there people these days who don't give a **** and like I said I have catholic friends who attend these marches.
