The majority of posters have agreed it is in the best interests of the board to have a revote on all positions. As you serve the majority of the board users, surely it's your prerogative to go along with their wishes?

Personally I thought you'd jump at the chane to get out of this position, what considering the grief you get and the way how on CI you speak of your moderator role here with indifference and embarrassment. I can't understand quite why you seem so desperate to cling on?

 

I must admit, the same thought has occurred to me this evening. I just can't understand why anyone who is getting so much grief would want to keep doing it.

 

You missed the boat on that one. It was a discussion along those lines that prompted the call for an additional mod. It'd be irresponsible of me to drop it now, just as a few seem intent on disruption. Once they've settled down, it'll be considered, as it is, the only thing on the table is one additional mod as per the OP.

 

What minority is this?

 

It's hardly grief, it's the usual bods dripping on as they've done for years. When they need to lie and try to twist words, you know you're doing something right. It's not just me they throw their teddies at anyway.

 

I haven't missed the boat, several people have questioned your ability to moderate this board properly, it's only fair that a poll/referendum is held to determine the future of your role. Why not do it now considering the circumstances?
