This is to let you know the PISKIE is banned from the Spurs board.

The 3 Spurs mods have spent a considerable amount of time on this matter as we have long been aware of the trouble created by this poster.

We are asked by The SuperMods to ask you not to refer to this poster (PISKIE) by name on the Spurs board. If you wish to 'converse' with him do it on another board.

As many of you have requested this action we hope you will co-operate with this request.

Good shout. Could he change his username and therefore get back on somehow? Not that I want him to but can he surreptitiously worm his way back on?
 
I'm not sure if HIAG will laugh or cry LOL to be fair our mods are the fairest in terms of rival posters so no place for the constant WUM'S......I better watch out!

A quick look at how he now talks about us on his own board is proof enough that this is the correct decision...true colours flying high!

I appreciate the difficult position you mods have been in over it, not easy banning a mod. You've obviously done an excellent job in convincing what are essentially neutrals (supermods), with whom I'm also glad that they never fell for any of his sickly spiel defending himself.

You've all got one in the Billy Nich from me. <cheers>

Exactly. I tried to reason with him by PM, but to no avail. Inevitable decision, but still brave by our mods <ok>. Should have been banned for daring to argue with PNP.
 
Any more details on what PISSKIE did to offend / annoy our most lenient, generous and esteemed mods? What was the subject of the thread?
 
This may surprise some of you, but I actually think this is a sad day, that anyone has to be banned. In an ideal world, I wouldn't want it, and there was a time - believe it or not - when PESKIE was okay with me. Sure, we have probably always been at hammer and tongs with each other, but the banter was always kept to a non-personal level, and we even managed to have some half-decent conversations. Then there came a tipping-point when he became vile and abusive, not just to me (although it was obvious to everyone that I became his prime target), but to anyone who dared to put in a good word for me, even his own fellow supporters. In the end, I really do believe that our mods were left with no alternative but to ban him; and whilst I know that all of our mods will have made their decision with a heavy heart, they did so, in my humble opinion, with a clear conscious.

Nonetheless, I am saddened. Not for the loss of the vile, vindictive and embittered PESKIE, but for the loss of the one who, in former times, I used to enjoy a good spot of banter with. I'm also saddened by the fact that fans cannot enjoy banter without the need to hurl personal and vile comments at fellow posters, whatever team they may support, because we do all love the same game, and without rivalry there would be no fun.

For my own part, I am thankful to our mods for making this place a happier one for me to post on. And, as for PESKIE, I truly do hope that he can move on and learn to let bygones be bygones, and try to rediscover some of the joie de vive that he once had for banter with rival posters, and shed all of the bitterness that seems to have dogged him over these past 18 months.
 
Right, closing the thread for now as people aren't exactly adhering to the new rule, we mainly left this open so as any questions about the new rule could be asked. If you do have any questions please PM one of the mods :)
