Right - after the debacle that has become the banning of Pompey Oik I need to advise something.

If things carry on as they are I can no longer mod on this board. I find myself having more issues with one of our mods than I do with any of the posters that come on here.

I am going to call him out on it as I question the banning and was told that it was requested by members of the forum. Turns out that it wasn't. There is also the cases that thread titles have mysteriously changed without the permission or request from the poster.

I find that I will no longer be able to mod as long as @Gordon Armstrong is a mod on here so it has to be either him or me.

I love this board and I'm gutted that it has come to this but for people to make the type of decision based solely on their opinion and without the backing or conversation with any mod (and also to request a ban via PM rather than on the supermod forum) for a member who broke no rules and upset only him, I can;t live with that and I refuse to be a part of it if it has to continue.

I have sent multiple PMs to Gordon about this but he has not yet responded once so this is the only option I can see (he has posted a few times since I sent my last PM)

Since he's banned he won't actually know (unless he's on his other profile of course).

Sad thing is that it should never have come to this, just a bit of WUMing and banter as far as I'm concerned.

Worse things happen at sea, as they say and banning him was way over the top IMO.

It's sorted, Bri. . . . . I've 'spoken' to him privately, and responded as appropriate to what he wrote, but he doesn't see it that way.
This is the second time that he's done this in public, instead of sorting it out privately, and to avoid any sort of confrontation, or 'him or me' poll, I've tendered my resignation as a Mod. to 'brb'
I've done things to keep the peace (and it's been very calm on here for a blinking long time now) and I've only done modding when I've thought it necessary to help this board, but this will be the end of me on here. Some, that have clearly been against me for the two and a half years that I've been a Mod. will have what they want now, so some will be happy.
I love this place and I'll miss it, but if this is better for the board it seems like it's time for me to go :emoticon-0101-sadsm

We should all be feeling good now, but some feel differently.

You haven't really done yourself any favours since sort of posting here 3 years ago, I remember the reason why you wouldn't back in 2011. The board will always have a feel good factor, people come and people go, I'm sure the posters will get on with it..

Is it just you two modding? Even numbers are always a bad idea when trying to run a democracy. Best get another in sharpish. I'm out btw lol

Don't be bolting though, neither of you. I scrapped with Com and Billy for years and we've always been able to be civil even though we knew pacts were only temporary. Both of you sort the **** and get a third.

Ok i will poke my nose it, nowt wrong with either mod in my eyes, just a couple of little things need to be sorted, clear the air and move on. Firstly Gordon, no more changing titles. I know it's a laugh and piss take and i'm just has bad...well worse in fact, but no more. Next up and partly my fault, the banning request of the Pompey Oik should have gone on the mod board and not behind PM, that way Marcus would have been kept in the loopy loop.

Right, for what it's worth i think it's good to have two mods at opposite ends of the spectrum, it keeps a fair balance, also once in, you don't leave, in simple terms you're stuck with being mods, what happens in fight club, stays in fight club.

You both just need to agree to disagree, tolerate one another and get better at communicating, i've learned a few lessons from this too (as above).

Anyway, blimey lads, surely the footie should be creating the convo's not this crap <ok>

I think we need another mod on here to keep the peace between the two current ones and to allow a fair vote on things if it comes to it.

Personally i don't have any issue with either of you, or anyone else on here for that matter TBH. But if what you say is true and i have no reason to doubt either of you, then things need to be sorted.

Just my opinion and i was a mod previously (canny few years back now tho) communication is everything and total transparency is always the way forward. That said, i don't see any justifiable reason for either of you to chuck the towel in, WHY? if you two can't agree on something then just agree to disagree then seek help from the supremods or the other forum members if need be. After all, it's OUR forum and we have a say also and remember, you were both elected by the forum members on here so put your dummies back in and carry on doing and good job as you have done previously.

Ive been a mod for a year or so, although not actually done any modding. If anyone wants to replace me you are more than welcome.
