im happy for the mods to moderate as they see fit. It is a tough job that I would not want and as a contributer to this board, I m happy to go by their decisions

Growing up in London my Dad in the 1920's & 30s used to mention Nancy (fancy) boys.

My wife's best friend (a diplomat) is gay and has been with the same guy (now "married") for as long as I have been with her - 27 years - she tried dating him in university and wondered why he never responded to her advances, then he came out and explained his situation - they are still the very best of friends - his partner is also a diplomat and they are assigned dual postings together around the world.

What really pisses me off is devious nastiness as in Swords deliberatly editing quotes to misrepresent what was written. Complete ****, would like to think he's a troll but he's far worse than that. Filth.

Well, been quite funny reading through this thread on poster and everyone (myself included) saying the the Mods do a great job and we should all be nice
Then watching it decend into exactly what i knew it would be. Various posters abusing or going against what was poreviously posted.

For my part, i posted and left it at that as this was always going to hapen.

For the first time in my life i'll say to the Mods, that if this thread was meant to be as the OP states, then its probably a good idea to lock it now.
surely if the OP was the only reason for creating this thread, then there can be nio more input to be gained by yourselves and nines regarding modderation.
Personally and honestly, i think there was a bit more behind it but then I'm a cynic.
Col, dont worry mate, a lot of posts were aimed at more than yourself nd Swords and a few more have come out.
I know & accept that some were aimed at me too, as such Im just going to sit a see what happens. Not getting drawn into this one.

My appologies to those of you who dont agree with requesting a thread to be locked. I dont normally, hence the reason i've done it publically.

With posts like this it is just as well you can't be bothered with this forum anymore.

The overriding message that has come out of this thread is that people want the personal abuse cut out. If you have a genuine grievance you are doing yourself no favours at all.

 

That's the conclusion I've come to aswell mate. The likes of him are best ignored.
