It starts today! First port of call is Whitley Bay. If the mods don't mind I plan on using this as a blog of sorts to not only keep people updated and raise awareness of the charity but to keep myself sane on the long open roads. ps. Cheers. I was going to upload photos along the way but the ones my phone takes are too big to upload here. Had a good conversation with a couple on Blyth beach about the condition and learned from another bloke that the origin of the term 'journeyman' comes from German apprentices. Made it to St Mary's Lighthouse and the sun is really coming out now, I get the feeling my delicate complexion is going to take a beating today.
Made it to South Shields, can feel the blisters coming on so the foot's straight on ice. Collected £68 in my bucket and met some very interesting people. South Shields -> Ryhope tomorrow.
