They're all luvvies who crave melodrama. This is why they cheer bad records like Hodgson and Rodgers. They want headlines, not sense.

Sadly the Rodgers love-in has been bought hook, line and sinker by so many for no apparent reason, which is still a mystery.

I have no doubt the slight murmurings about Rodgers now appearing in some luvvie circles will continue to grow. His PowerPoint presentations are becoming legendary already.

The strange thing is that I think it's only once the "luvvies" turn against him that you will then get behind him. Sadly that makes you pretty much as bad as them <ok>

" We will see how soon one of ******ed scums on these boards actually says that Rodgers was actually doing a sh1t job. "

Quoted from Christiansmith (I didn't quote the whole mindless rant of course).

Who'd have thought the most unpleasant rabid Manc dog on this site would find his true love on the Liverpool board.

Brings a tear to my eye. Run to him MFG, be with him.

I hope he's book marked this thread, as I reckon he's bang on the money over Rodgers & one day he'll have the last laugh.

I think a lot of you lads are closing your eyes a bit, as you desperately want to believe he can deliver the success you crave & you don't want to see another manager fail.

It's 'not closing our eyes'. It's called being patient with a young manager, with a young squad, competing in a difficult environment surrounded by mega rich clubs.

I'm only taking the piss (like MFG gives a crap what I say anyway lol). Nobody gets that angry about something they don't give a stuff about.

Tobes you're falling into that trap of cliche. Or at least using them in your WUM attempts. It happens when you've used up all your actual clever remarks. It's also why you're sounding less reasonable, the mask has slipped further by the day.

Our last 6 managers have been failures ultimately league wise. Are you saying every LFC supporter has been deluded or intentionally blind to each ones faults (we all had our favourites to like & dislike?) because we supported them in their efforts? He's been in the job 5 minutes FFS and don't repeat your Hodgeson crap in response: You've already posted it elsewhere on this board; we've already read & responded to it; and actually with regards to MFG's posts on the matter of BR it backs my arguments against his position: I.e that making the same mistake with BR patience wise as was made with KD (& for arguments sake RH although I think he was over all an exception) just because he's not your favourite now hardly helps our club. It's a unending circle.

Anyway it was meant as banter not to attract you to this thread. So apologies Dave. By all means somebody remove my last 3 posts as they're very off topic.

frank - your paranoia is worsening by the day, you're an odd cookie. There was no hidden meaning in my post, it's my opinion on Rodgers & one that ulitmately I'm sure I'll be proved right on & if not, I'll gladly eat humble pie. If anyones' mask is slipping' it's his btw fella ;)

Don't get it do you, sunshine?
It's got nothing to do with whether he turns out to be right or wrong- none of us has a crystal ball. It's about getting behind your club and wanting them to do well, even if they've made the wrong choice in your opinion.
It's about supporting your club, not about your own need to be proven right.

I agree with that, Brendan just gets on with his job and doesn't complain, okay he says we need x y and z, that's called addressing issues.. What's wrong with that? He doesn't poor mouth like David ''the pauper'' Moyes.

No paranoia here mate: you're a clear WUM & thats been suggested on here by more than just me. Over the last few weeks we've heard your (negative) opinion on our club from owners , managers, players & fans. Not much left for you to say so I'd suggest you crawl back into the hole you slithered from mate or go cosy up on the a united board, considering your views I'm sure there is a fair few would welcome you. Stay here spouting your negative bollox and I'll continue to fall you a WUM prick.

It's obvious that whatever I say, you'll twist to suit your own twatish paranoid viewpoint, so I won't bother conversing with you beyond this post frank, as you're patently a total bell end.

Hodgson had a better CV than Rodgers but also had an extra 40yrs in the game than him, his methods and tactics were antiquated and his signings were excrement, he bigged up our defeat at the San Giro against the Blues and in his first media interview was more interested if Ferguson would end their friendship because he joined us.

I see your point, but it's not quite the same. I was behind Hodgson at the start even though he wouldn't have been my choice. Very quickly, for reasons we've been into before, it didn't feel right. I was convinced we weren't going in the right direction with him, his philosophy didn't suit our club imo.
For some reason MFG feels the same way about BR. I wouldn't presume to know what he's thinking so I can't explain his reasoning.
My point is that there's a big difference between fearing he will fail, and wanting him to just so you can say "I told you so".

I was kidding about Woy. I think he joined Liverpool at the worst possible time and never stood a chance with the players or fans but understand why the fans didn't take to him. I met him when he'd just taken over at Fulham and thought he was a nice bloke but utterly devoid of ambition and personality. I have also been disappointed in his all too familiar cowardly approach to the England manager job.

Hodgson made huge mistakes, and its not when he was chewing the scabs off Fergusons rim. It was alienating players, making them do things they were not used to doing i.e. making Daniel Agger hoof the ball. He destroyed Glen Johnson's confidence. Also some of his soundbites in the media were horrendous. As for his personality, it was like having Ryan Giggs, Michael Owen or Alan Shearer as manager.

Fair enough. I think most of us on here said Woy was a decent bloke but not right for us. His lack of ambition was apparent then.
I don't think BR lacks that quality, whether he can succeed remains to be seen, but it's too early to judge at the moment.
