Rivalry week was a good idea by the league, pretty much every game was fun to watch. SJ beating LA was nice to see as well.
Keane looked bad didn't he? His numbers are way off this season as well. He should start thinking about retiring.

The MLS doesn't have international breaks so with the gold cup on most of the teams will be missing their top players. You might want to skip watching this weekends games as the quality will probably be poor.
Ellewoods, have you checked out the Western table this week. Seven clubs are in the hunt for the top. I'm not sure how it is that Kansas City has played 5 fewer matches than Los Angeles, but all those games-in-hand of Dallas, KC, and SJ make this a tighter race than the points total makes it appear.
Na I hadn't looked at the tables yet, i normally only look when I do the post. I'll do it tomorrow or later today. Without double checking I believe it's do to Concacaf Champions League and that other tournament that clubs can enter. The MLS and their infinite wisdom do not do breaks for international games nor turnament games so there is always a giant difference in games played. I am sure a team can also probably move games if it interferes with duel use stadiums.
Just watched LA Galaxy v NYC and NYC were terrible, it's no good having Pirlo and Villa if you've got no defence. Finished 5-1.
I watched too, could have been 9-1. LA was really on them. Gio Dos Santos sure looks like he's having a lot of fun every time he touches the ball. This version of LAG is probably the best MLS team ever assembled, especially with Zardes really coming into his own.
Yea I watched it live yesterday. Part of the problem with the DP system is you are finding that the forward players are so significantly better than the back 4 that score lines seem to be going up. LA has scored 27 goals in their last 5 home games.
I really doubt it. He is the highest paid Italian player in the world and he makes more than anyone in Serie A. I really doubt they would be willing to pay the transfer fee they would have to pay and then give him a raise which would mean he would probably be making about 10 million a year and significantly more than anyone else in Seria A.
This thread has been dormant for a while, but the MLS season is coming to a close and there are some compelling races, particularly in the Western Conference. Here are the standings (table) (top 6 clubs make the playoffs) Pts Club (matches remaining) 51 LA Galaxy (2) 50 FC Dallas (4) 49 Vancouver (3) 48 Sporting KC (3) 47 Seattle (2) 44 San Jose (2) 44 Portland (3) 41 Houston (2) 41 Real Salt Lake (3) FC Dallas plays away to Vancouver tonight, so the top spot may flip. MLS is off this weekend for an international break, and Vancouver travels to FC Dallas next Wednesday. please log in to view this image
