i like betting on the mls, i've won every bet ive had on them and regarding kaka i think the mls needs less of kaka/gerrard and lampard it's seen as a post career money league, when i've w atched many of the games the fans have an english type atmosphere to them, and the football is exciting problem with mls also is there's no big continental competition
We have a champions league just like you do. The difference is almost no one gives a **** about it. The Mexican teams always win the competition.
Yea, would be better if it was expanded to include Europe or South America or something. Concacaf just doesn't have that many exciting club teams.
Yet in the corrupt world of FIFA these areas have more influence than Europe. Take the European countries away and the World Cup would be a non event.

Good to see you keeping this OT thread alive, ellewoods. It is balm for the soccer soul now that City is relegated. I'm hoping we'll be able to come right back up after a successful season in Championship. It will be nice to watch them win more matches than they lose (I say "watch" loosely; only one or two Championship games are televised in the states on the weekend). I am travelling to Portland this week on business and plan to take in the Timbers match on Wednesday night. This will be my fourth MLS venue.
Its not a problem. To bad more arent watching but maybe now people will with the season over. Next season I might do an MLS prediction thread but hopefully by then there is an MLS part of the forum. Yea it sucks that we have to rely on Bein Sports and their 2 games a week. We should get a decent number of our games though as a recently relegated club.
The MLS being on over the summer might just get me through it. England's U21s at the Euros will probably be worth watching, we have a really promising team, it looks a more exciting team than the senior one.
Well still gutted about City going down... anyone know how to watch them in the Championship besides surfing the net for 20 minutes looking for a feed? Timbers 1-0 DC United... Timbers looked very lively, only some really great goalkeeping by Hamid kept them from getting 3 or 4.
Looking forward to seeing how Gerrard and Lampard get on. Both have there work cut out. Kevin Doyle at Colorado will also be interesting.
Bein Sports plays 2 championship games a week right now. They might show more next season. I would think with us just going down that we should be shown a decent amount on the channel. Also tigers player will have full replays uploaded a couple days after the game is over.
For anyone interested this is a video of every goal Wondo has scored. The MLS made it for him. Wondo hit 100 goals last game. He is the 2nd fastest person to 100 goals ever in the MLS (not in age but in games played as he didnt start playing much or scoring tell he was fairly old) and is tied for the most ever in a single season at 27. Those of you who like skills in a striker you wont like his goals, he just gets in the box and puts them in, nothing fancy at all. I really wish we had signed him 4 or so years ago.
Unless something has changed since last time we were in the championship there will not be cameras at every game. Back when Sentanta was around that wasn't the case but now it's just Bein for us and streaming sky games etc when they are on in England. It's possible it could change with the NBC success someone should be trying to do the same thing with the championship.
