So ive just got back from weds nights Vancouver Whitecaps vs Chivas usa, and im curious to see what people think of the mls back home?

Ive got to admit i had a great night - fantastic stadium (bc place), with amazing staff - myself and my scottish mate were the loudest people in our stand so the stewards offered to move us to the southside (think block 19) free of charge (tickets would have cost double to sit there).

Football wise it was likewatching a reasonable L1/bad championship team - chivas were piss poor though

Atmoshpere wise it was good, but barely a single chivas fan in the place - and they were spread about - made it difficult to heckle opposition fans.. and whitecaps need to learn way more songs.

Other things of note include being alowed to drink in the stands - good, but at $8 a beer (£5) got expensive, and the gigantic tv suspended in the middle showing decent camera angles and replays (though i think this would cause riots at home).

All in all a good experience and i would encourage anyone visiting north america to try and check out a game - especially as the ticket was $20 (plus $8 booking fee - ticket master you bastards).

Sounds good, how many fans were there? I take it Dunfield has left the Whitecaps?

I've not watched much MLS, I watched a bit of LA Galaxy vs someone the other week (which I think finished 2-0 to LA) but that's about it, however it's something I definitely would be interested in. I think ESPN sometimes show matches. If I went on holiday to America, I'd definitely try to get to an MLS game if possible. Especially to a Seattle Sounders home game, they have a kick ass stadium.

Matser - Attendance 17,777 which isnt bad for a midweek game - attendance average is about 20k, in a stadium with 21k capacity... unless they wind back some sails and open the top tiers.... to make it 54k...

Dunfield when signed played about 3 matches, played really well and got bought by toronto...

KDS i quite agree

and to note the sounders had 66k at there last game against portland..
